Product Description

Alumina ceramic filter plates are plate-shaped functional ceramics made primarily from high-purity alumina (Al₂O₃) particles. These plates are formed by adding pore-forming agents and binders, then processed through molding (e.g., extrusion or dry pressing) and sintering. They contain numerous interconnected pores.

Alumina ceramic filter plates are powerful and widely used porous functional ceramics. Their core value lies in leveraging the exceptional properties of alumina ceramics to achieve efficient filtration and separation. Their filtration accuracy, air permeability, and strength can be precisely controlled by controlling the raw material particle size, formulation, molding, and sintering processes to meet the needs of diverse applications.

The advantages of alumina ceramic filter plates are the fundamental reason they can operate under extreme conditions:

1. Excellent high-temperature resistance
  • Long-term operating temperatures can reach over 1000°C (depending on purity).
  • Advantage: They can be used for filtering high-temperature gases, a task unsuitable for plastic or metal filter media.

  • They are resistant to corrosion from strong acids, bases, and various organic solvents, and never rust or age.

  •  If clogged, it can be fully regenerated through high-pressure air backflushing, ultrasonic cleaning, or high-temperature calcination, restoring filtration performance and significantly reducing long-term operating costs.

Main Application Areas

Based on their high-temperature, corrosion-resistant, and high-strength properties, alumina ceramic filter plates are primarily used in two key areas:

1. Gas purification and dust removal (high-temperature flue gas ducts)

This is their most classic and widespread application, primarily for capturing dust particles from high-temperature industrial flue gases.

2. Liquid filtration and separation

They are primarily used for filtering corrosive liquids or liquids requiring high-temperature treatment.
