Wear-resistant 99% Alumina Ceramic Rings for Grinding
Product Description
Alumina ceramic grinding rings are ring-shaped objects made of high-purity, high-density alumina ceramic. They are specialized in the grinding and dispersing industries.
Not only are they insulating components, but their core function is to utilize the high hardness and wear resistance of alumina ceramic as a grinding medium. They are commonly used as grinding media in grinding equipment such as ball mills, vibrating mills, and stirred mills.
The core function is to crush, grind and mix the materials in the grinding equipment through mutual collision, rolling and shearing with other grinding rings, materials and linings.
Performance Advantages
Alumina ceramic was chosen as the grinding ring material because of its excellent properties:
1. Extremely hard and wear-resistant. Its Mohs hardness reaches 9 (second only to diamond and silicon carbide). This means it wears very little during the grinding process, maintains its shape and size over time, and has an extremely long service life, avoiding the pollution and cost associated with frequent media changes. 2. Extremely high mechanical strength. High compressive strength makes it resistant to breakage during high-speed grinding and impact, preventing contamination of materials and equipment due to media breakage.
3. Excellent corrosion resistance. Acid, alkali, and oxidation resistance enable grinding of chemically corrosive materials, whereas metal media would corrode rapidly in such environments.
4. High density. Alumina ceramics typically have a density above 3.6 g/cm³. This higher density provides greater impact energy and improved grinding efficiency, making it particularly suitable for grinding hard materials.
5. Excellent chemical stability and minimal contamination. During the grinding process, trace impurities generated by wear and tear have minimal contamination, effectively maintaining the purity and properties of the ground material. This is a key reason for its selection in industries such as electronic materials, ceramic glazes, and high-end pigments.
